PARAMAX AWARDED $37 MILLION U.S. ARMY CONTRACT
MCLEAN, Va., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramax Systems Corporation

announced today that its Communication Systems division has recently been awarded a $37 million contract to provide the U.S. Army with state-of-the-art data link equipment. The contract, managed for the Army through the Air Force Data Link Developer/Procurer at Robbins Air Force Base, Ga., includes Dual Data Link (DDL) airborne systems, portable ground support equipment and ground station systems. Paramax, formerly Unisys Defense Systems, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Unisys Corporation.
The addition of the Paramax modularized, miniaturized data link products will bring the U.S. Army closer to its goal of fully remoting its reconnaissance systems. This capability will allow the Army to send mission hardware to forward locations with minimum exposure to support and operations personnel. The contract reflects an ongoing effort between Paramax and Army personnel, which began in 1985.
