 PARAMAX AWARDED $27 MILLION CONTRACT BY SWIFTSHIPS, INC.,
 FOR EGYPTIAN MINEHUNTER SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
 MCLEAN, Va., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramax Systems Corporation has been awarded a $27 million contract by Swiftships, Inc., of Morgan City, La., for the development and production of the integrated mine hunting combat systems for three coastal mine hunters being built for the Arab Republic of Egypt Navy (AREN).
 Paramax, formerly Unisys Defense Systems, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS).
 Under terms of the four-year contract, Paramax will provide integrated navigation, command and control, communication, and mine neutralization subsystems for the 110-foot Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) ships. The systems will be integrated and tested at Paramax's Tactical Systems facilities in Reston, Va., prior to shipboard test and sea trials at the Louisiana shipyard. Additional testing and training will be conducted at AREN facilities in Alexandria, Egypt.
 "Swiftships, in conjunction with Paramax, has developed this highly capable package to address the needs of those countries that require a high level of performance in a cost-effective mine hunting platform," said Thomas E. Collier, director of coastal systems for Paramax. He added that this program is "a top priority for the Egyptian Navy and will provide the first modern mine hunters for the fleet."
