PAR technology subsidiary awarded $8.2 m air force I/T communications support contract.

Rome Research Corporation (RRC), a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PTC), has been awarded an $8.2 million contract to provide information management, operations and other support services to the 15th Communications Squadron, Hickam Air Force Base, on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

This contract calls for RRC to provide communications support services at the Technical Control Facility, and Visual Information and Publication/Forms Management. The Technical Control Facility, a Defense Information Infrastructure Facility, is a critical link in the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) worldwide communication network. The contract period of performance is four years.

Among the units supported by the 15th Communications Squadron at Hickam Air Force Base are the Commander Pacific Air Forces (PACAF). PACAF, the air component of the U.S. Pacific Command, controls four numbered air forces composed of over 45,000 military and civilian personnel spread across the Pacific Rim, from Alaska to Guam.
