PAR Technology Awarded Record Contract; Subsidiary Wins $32.3 Million Navy I/T Support Contract.

The U. S. Navy Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) San Diego awarded a $32.3 million contract to Rome Research Corporation (RRC), a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PTC).

The 4-year contract calls for RRC to provide information operations and information technology support of the Naval Computer and Telecommunication Network Facilities in Guam. This is a record contract for any PAR Technology company and comes after a recently announced then-record contract to RRC for similar Navy I/T support services in Puerto Rico. When combined with the other contracts awarded this year, Rome Research has received over $100 million in new awards - which is a record for the Company. PAR's Government business now has an identified backlog of $125 million, the largest in Company history.

This contract calls for RRC to operate and maintain Super High Frequency (SHF) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Heavy Earth Terminals, a Technical Control Facility (TCF) to include the Automated Network Communications Center (ANCC), Extremely High Frequency (EHF) SATCOM Terminal System, Ultra High Frequency (UHF) antennas, Joint (UHF) MILSATCOM Network Integrated (JMINI) Control System Operations and Maintenance, HF/MF Transmitters, U.S. Air Force HF Scope Command assets, Defense Messaging Systems (DMS), LAN/WAN Management and Administration, Fiber Optic Landlines and all associated base band equipment operating under Naval Computer Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Guam.

RRC will perform circuit analysis and direct restoration efforts for communications paths, circuits, trunks, and satellite links used within the NCTS Guam communications area, United States Air Force Detachment 5 located at Anderson AFB, and the Pacific and Indian Ocean areas of operation supporting Joint Forces engaged in Operations Enduring Freedom and Nobel Eagle. RRC will provide real time action on any deterioration or failure of communications systems or equipment causing degradation of service to the tactical War Fighter and shore facilities and will coordinate satellite equipment installations and initiate circuit and trunk activations in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) directions and Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) technical specifications.
