The other Panoz team, Valencia's Bryan Herta Bryan Herta (b. May 23 1970, Warren, Michigan) is an American race car driver. He currently drives for Andretti Green Racing, which is co-owned by former CART and IRL driver Michael Andretti, in the ALMS, although his career has primarily been spent in open-wheel cars and Bill Auberlen, has finished no higher than third. As frustrating as that might be, Herta and Auberlen go into this weekend's Grand Prix of Mosport with the confidence they are racing for a team that can win races. Herta, a rookie on the American Le Mans Series and a veteran of the CART series, will be making his first visit to the Mosport International Raceway Mosport International Raceway (formerly Mosport Park) is a multi-track facility located north of Bowmanville, Ontario. The facility features a 2.459-mile, 10-turn road course; a half-mile paved oval; and the new 1. in Ontario, Canada. ``I'm looking forward to all of the races,'' said Herta, who has been in negotiations this week with the Formula One team Minardi to possibly drive in the last three grand prix events of the season. ``Each weekend is like a new adventure for me. There's so much that's different in this type of racing than the open-wheel stuff I've been doing for so long. ``Every single week I learn a little bit more about the car, the type of racing and the traffic situations, and I can't wait to get to the next race.'' Mosport will offer the Panoz team a challenge difficult to meet. The racing surface is relatively bumpy, Herta said, in comparison to some of the other courses the American Le Mans Series has driven on this year. The surface will put the Panoz cars at a disadvantage to the very strong Audi teams, Herta said. --NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series: After winning the Auto Club 150 last Saturday at Irwindale Speedway, Burney Lamar leap-frogged over Frazier Park's M.K.
