PANCHO'S MEXICAN BUFFET APPOINTS CARLSON TO BOARD AND REPORTS SAME-STORE-SALES UP 14.7 PERCENT FOR OCTOBER

 FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Pancho's Mexican Buffet Inc. (NASDAQ: PAMX) announced today that the board of directors has appointed Samuel L. Carlson as director to fulfill a vacant board seat that expires in January 1995.
 Carlson, 57, has been with the company for approximately 17 years and currently serves as senior vice president administration and secretary.
 The company also announced that same-store-sales continued strong for October 1993, the first month of the company's fiscal first quarter, increasing 14.7 percent compared to the like month last year.
 Based in Fort Worth, Pancho's Mexican Buffet is the only publicly held company offering all-you-can-eat Mexican food in a buffet-style format. The company operates 66 restaurants in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
