The PT-L701SDU comes complete with 16MB SD Memory Card, a PC card adapter (1) A PC Card used as a drive that accepts a removable module. Typically used for flash memory cards, such as CompactFlash and SmartMedia, the PC Card adapter plugs into the PC Card slot of the computer, and the memory card plugs into the adapter. The PT-L701SDU allows users to store their presentations on the portable, postage stamp-sized SD Memory Card to deliver superb PC-less presentations and unattended, self-running, continuous-play presentations. The projector offers SD Memory Card presentation functions including Auto Slide Show, which automatically shows the data from an SD Memory Card in succession; Capture, which captures and saves the displayed screen directly onto an SD Memory Card in JPEG file format; and Thumbnail Display, which provides an index-type display of all the images on an SD Memory Card, and allows the user to change the image sequence. For bright, up-close presentations, the value-packed projector is equipped with a large-diameter, extra-short throw lens that shortens the necessary projection distance by a full 25%, delivering 80" projection by as little as an 8.2' throw distance. The shorter projection distance saves space, allowing the projector to be placed at the front of the meeting table. Users can give comfortable presentations with large, easy-to-see images even in small rooms. The video-enhanced projector is HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates compatible, automatically resizing 1080i and 720p images for 16:9 wide-aspect display; 480p, 480i and 625i component video signals and S-Video can also be displayed in either 4:3 or 16:9. The PT-L701SDU also features a Digital Cinema Reality(TM) circuit, greatly improving viewing quality from film-based video sources. The unit offers broad compatibility ranging from PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, SECAM (SEquential Couleur Avec Memoire, Sequential Color with Memory) A color TV standard from France that was officially introduced in 1967. Although development began in 1956, it took time to convert from the earlier French 819-line system. , NTSC (National TV Standards Committee) The committee that developed the television standards for the U.S, which are also used in Canada, Japan, South Korea and several Central and South American countries. Both the committee and the standard are called "NTSC. and M-NTSC. The projector provides an unique Index Window, which allows any image in a presentation (RGB or video input) to be frozen, stored in memory and displayed on the left side of the screen, while display of subsequent images continues on the right. For example, a plan's outline can be displayed in the Index Window to the left, while details are displayed to the right, achieving a multi-window effect from a single presentation source, with no special preparations necessary. The PT-L701SDU also offers two-mode lamp operation -- Standard or Save. Designed for use in dark rooms, the Save mode utilizes a lower lamp power that mitigates energy consumption, yields 50% longer lamp life and further reduces fan noise. For greater connection flexibility, two RGB input terminals are provided for connecting two computers at the same time. |
