: Past, Present and Future - How to Clean Up Politics'' in a free presentation at 1 p.m. Monday in the board room, Student Services Building, Room 151, at Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties. , 3041 W. Ave. K.

The presentation, sponsored by the college's Flex A development system for Flash-based applications from Adobe. Introduced in 2004 as a J2EE application, Flex compiles ActionScript code and XML-based user interface descriptions (MXML) into binary Flash files (SWF files).  Committee, will be led by Larry Chimbole and Jim Ledford.

Chimbole was a leader of the 1962 campaign to incorporate Palmdale and served as its first mayor. Ledford is the current mayor of Palmdale.

Both men will discuss the past and present of Palmdale, then lead a discussion on how to get politicians to deal more with important issues and less with personalities and partisanship par·ti·san 1
