 Chamber Singers will travel to Europe this year at the invitation of a Welsh choral festival.

At the International Eisteddfod The International Eisteddfod is a music festival which takes place every year during the second week of July in Llangollen, North Wales. Singers and dancers from around the world are invited to take part in over 20 high quality competitions followed each evening by concerts where  in Langlollen, Wales Wales, Welsh Cymru, western peninsula and political division (principality) of Great Britain (1991 pop. 2,798,200), 8,016 sq mi (20,761 sq km), west of England; politically united with England since 1536. The capital is Cardiff. , in July, the choir will compete against high school and chamber choirs from universities all over the world.

Mike McCullough (born March 21, 1945) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour, and currently plays on the Champions Tour.
 said of Palmdale High's singers. ``I really, really honestly believe that this is a life-changing event. Every time I've taken a group, the kids have been better for taking the trip. It's really a nice way to extend the education process.''

This will be the third European choir tour since McCullough came to Palmdale High nine years ago.

To raise the $2,500 each singer needs, the teens will perform benefit concerts, are selling cheesecake and cookie dough Cookie dough refers to a blend of cookie ingredients which has been mixed into a solid yet malleable form but has not yet been hardened by heat. The dough is often then separated and the portions baked to individual cookies, or eaten as is. , holding carwashes, and some kids have part-time jobs.

``We actually sing for our supper,'' said McCullough, adding that the choir is available for public performances. ``There is no donation too small.''

On Dec. 19, the choir will sell holiday items at ``Dickens' Christmas Evening'' which re-creates an authentic Victorian Christmas party. The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the school, 2137 E. Ave. R.
