PALM INTEGRATES MOBILEDB APPLICATIONS IN HANDHELDS.

Handmark, Kansas City Kansas City, two adjacent cities of the same name, one (1990 pop. 149,767), seat of Wyandotte co., NE Kansas (inc. 1859), the other (1990 pop. 435,146), Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties, NW Mo. (inc. 1850). , Mo., has released a major online update to its popular MobileDB Palm Powered(TM) database application. With over a half-million downloads, and more online content than all other Palm OS database competitors combined, MobileDB is one of the few truly essential applications for all Palm OS handhelds.

The new MobileDB3 release incorporates significant enhancements, including the addition of data types, the ability to export any record from a database to the built-in Date Book, and the ability to categorize cat·e·go·rize

an unlimited number of databases. The data types include numbers, sequence, text, lists, date, time, and checkboxes. Date and time fields are integrated with familiar standard Palm OS pop-up dialog boxes A movable window that is displayed on screen in response to the user selecting a menu option. It provides the current status and available options for a particular feature in the program. .

With MobileDB3 it is even easier to manage data and date lists on both your desktop and handheld. For example, an event list created on your PC can be converted to a MobileDB3 file then the entire database, or any individual record, can be selected and is automatically added to the right place in the Palm Powered built-in Date Book.

Introducing MobileDB3 Plug-Ins

The most important change to MobileDB is not in the Palm OS application, but the addition of three sets of "plug-in" desktop technologies that vastly expand the ability to easily create new MobileDB files. Available for $19.99 each of the desktop plug-ins support Excel, FileMaker(R), and Microsoft(R) Access.

MobileDB3 plug-in technology automatically creates MobileDB3 data files from Microsoft(R) Excel on a Windows(R) desktop and from FileMaker(R) on the Macintosh(R). MobileDB3 also fully supports PrintBoy(TM) IR printing.
