P. Diddy shoe favorite inks 6th Avenue lease.


Adams & Co. Real Estate recently brokered a 13-year, 2,000 s/f office lease expansion at 1071 Avenue of the Americas for Training Camp Inc., a New York-based shoe store with an extensive celebrity and large following in the hip-hop world.

Training Camp Inc. carries a wide range of shoe brands and styles, including hard-to-find brands such as Phat Farm Phat Farm is an urban fashion line created by Russell Simmons, the founder of Def Jam (later sold by him in 2004 for $140M), in 1992. The brand is fairly expensive and worn for fashion instead of sport.  and Royal Elastics. Frequent clients include Puff Daddy, Jay-Z, Cappadonna and Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan.

The 12-story, 151,533-square-foot building boasts a tenant roster that includes Bardwil Industries, David Gellar Associates and Tommy Bahama Tommy Bahama is a licensed line of clothing that markets high-end tropical-themed wear amongst other clothing and household goods. The company sells these products through its own chain of retail outlets in Canada and the United States, and through other retailers. .

The property features a new lobby & elevators, new windows, 24-hour accessibility and expansive views of Bryant Park Bryant Park is a 9.603 acre (39,000 m²) public park located in the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is bounded by Fifth Avenue, Sixth Avenue, 40th Street and 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan.[1] The central building of the New York Public Library is in the park. .

"Training Camp has done very well in this building, and we're pleased they turned to us again to help them expand," said Levy.

"The building is centrally located in Midtown Manhattan and directly faces Bryant Park. It's a great deal all around."
