Ozarks magazine shut down.


The five-year-old Ozarks Magazine, bought by the Gatehouse Media GateHouse Media NYSE: GHS is a U.S. newspaper publisher, headquartered in Fairport, New York that publishes 87 dailies in 20 states and 198 paid weeklies, in addition to free papers, shoppers and specialty and niche publications.  newspaper chain last year, has been shut down.

The chain owns other newspapers in Missouri

, including some in the Ozarks region and has been going through a "belt-tightening," said Susan Kirkpatrick, former owner who stayed on as editor for the last year.

Ozarks magazine, which was located in Gravois Mills, was started by Kirkpatrick and her husband Joel. She is the former Susan Croce Kelly, who worked as a writer for newspapers in St. Louis, Springfield, Mo., and in corporate public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most , including ten years at the Monsanto Co.

The now-defunct glossy magazine was published six times a year and proclaimed it itself as "celebrating the lure, lore 1. Lore - Object-oriented language for knowledge representation. "Etude et Realisation d'un Language Objet: LORE", Y. Caseau, These, Paris-Sud, Nov 1987.
