Oxis names new directors to its board.

McCamant, age 62, has more than 30 years experience in the investment field. He is the founder and editor of the widely referenced Medical Technology Stock Letter, which provides expert analysis of developments and investment opportunities in medical biotechnology. McCamant is a general partner of the American Health Care Fund, LP.

During his 25-year career, Lang, age 59, specializes in strategic business planning and mergers and acquisitions, for a variety of industries, both public and private. Lang served as an instructor in financial forecasting, taxation and business management. He is past chairman of AI International and managing partner for The Lang Group, a Portland, Ore., CPA firm.

Lang and McCamant will serve out the current term for retiring members Peter E. Taussig and Lawrance A. Brown and stand for election at the company's mid-year annual meeting.
