On a rainy night in 1917 London, three young men meet for the first time on the doorstep of a murdered professor.  book is just what a literary pastiche pastiche (păstēsh`, pä–), work of art that combines themes and styles from various sources in such a way as to appear obviously derivative.  ought to be, and one hopes there are more adventures to be chronicled in this universe.
