Over the last few weeks, NZNO members and activists involved in the Fair Pay Campaign have been working hard to continue to raise public awareness of the issues.


Over the last few weeks, NZNO NZNO New Zealand Nurses Organisation  members and activists involved in the Fair Pay Campaign have been working hard to continue to raise public awareness of the issues. Like the group pictured above, nurses have been busy visiting their local electorate Electorate may refer to:
  • A constituency, the group of people entitled to vote in an election.
  • An electoral district, the geographic area of a particular election.
  • The dominion of an Elector in the Holy Roman Empire.
 offices, and lobbying MPs about the importance of government putting more money in to settle the multi-employer collective agreement for district health board nurses and midwives.

Other awareness raising activities include ringing talkback talk·back  
n.
A system of communications links in a television or radio studio that enables directions to be given while a program is being produced.
 radio programmes to put the nurses' point of view; writing letters to newspaper editors; and support for the recently launched "Our town backs our nurses" campaign.

WHAT IF WE REALLY CARED? was the theme and title for the poster poster, placard designed to be posted in some public place for purposes of commercial announcement or propaganda. Advertising makes wide use of posters, as do charitable and political organizations.  promoting the International Day of the Older Person at the beginning of this month.
