The 2nd Annual Social & Medical Home Health Care Conference titled: "Health and Humanitarian Partnership C* the New Strategy" opens on Tuesday at the Hilton by the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mana.

Over 600 delegates are expected to attend the upcoming conference hosted by the National Home Health Care Foundation, Western Region. The conference organizers received over 600 confirmed registrations and inquiries are still being received from interested parties. The 2nd Annual Social & Medical Home Health Care Conference titled: "Health and Humanitarian Partnership C* the New Strategy" opens on Tuesday at the Hilton by the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mana.

Sponsored by Dallah Albaraka and the Saudi Research and Marketing Group [Asharq Al Awsat, Al Eqtisadiah and Arab News], the conference aims to introduce the qualities and benefits of home health care to key decision makers in the health care sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On the 18th of November and following the official conference opening witnessing a speech by HRH Princess Adelah bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, President of the National Home Health Care Foundation -- Western Region and the speech of HE Dr. Abdullah Al Manie Minister of Health; a documentary featuring the National Home Health Care Foundation will be played followed by a presentation by Dr. Niveen Al Khaldi Founding Member of the NHHCF. The first day's panel session and speeches will focus on topics concerning the future of home health care in the Kingdom, the need for home health care, national epidemiological and clinical studies and case studies from Sweden and South Africa.

On the 19th of November, the sessions will concentrate on the service provision element of home health care with topics of discussion ranging from compliance improvement, healthy aging, geriatric care, support of care givers and the role of palliative care.

Parallel to the sessions and panel discussions, a number of key workshops are open to medical students and personnel offering them academic accreditation by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The workshops on November 18th will include: Physiotherapy in Home Health Care, Respiratory Therapy in Home Health Care Services, Role of the Social Worker in Home Health Care Services and Team Building.
