Outstanding Albanese honor.


Adelphi University Adelphi University (ədĕl`fī), at Garden City, N.Y.; coeducational; chartered 1896 as Adelphi College. Originally in Brooklyn, the school moved to its present location in 1929 and in 1963 achieved university status.  is honoring Russell C. Albanese, president of the Albanese Organization, as the 2005 Outstanding Long Island Executive at the University's fifth annual President's Gala, an evening to benefit student scholarships.

The black-tie gala will be held on April 2 at the Garden City Hotel, Garden City, beginning with a cocktail cocktail, short mixed drink originating in the United States and served as an appetizer. It generally has a basis of gin, whisky, rum, or brandy combined with vermouth or fruit juices and often flavored with bitters or grenadine.  hour at 7 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing. During the evening, the university will also honor Sharon G. Grosser '83, executive director of The Roslyn Savings Foundation, with the 2005 Outstanding Service to Adelphi award, and Jean Marie Jean Marie may refer to:
  • Anne Jean Marie RenĂ© Savary (1774-1833), French general and diplomatist
  • Charles Jean Marie Barbaroux (1767-1794), French politician
  • Georges Jean Marie Darrieus (1888-1979), French aeronautical engineer
 Salvatico '97, a Garden City resident, as the 2005 Outstanding Alumna.

The firm has earned worldwide acclaim for its pioneering accomplishments in urban sustainable development Sustainable development is a socio-ecological process characterized by the fulfilment of human needs while maintaining the quality of the natural environment indefinitely. The linkage between environment and development was globally recognized in 1980, when the International Union  exemplified by The Solaire, America's first environmentally responsible residential tower.
