Outside The Classroom Appoints New President.

Outside The Classroom, Inc., the leading provider of online health education courses for colleges and universities, announced that Peter Caruso has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Caruso has been the company's COO since November of 2000.

This is Mr. Caruso's fourth presidential appointment of his career. He brings over twenty years of experience in senior sales, marketing, and financial and operational management to Outside The Classroom. Mr. Caruso most recently served as President and COO of Symmetry Learning Systems, Inc., a grade K-8 science education startup, which has recently merged with a Boston University grade 8-12 science education affiliate.

Mr. Caruso has also served in senior management roles in retail and wholesale sales, marketing, and distribution of consumer products. Past positions include President of Hummel USA, a Danish brand of high-end soccer apparel and footwear, EVP and CFO of PUMA USA, President of a national mail order catalog company, and VP of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of a twenty-store retail chain. Early in his career, Caruso spent over seven years as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand.
