Outreach programs win international awards.


Capping off yet another successful year in 2005, the DAV See WebDAV.  was presented with three MarCom Creative Award statuettes, given to honor excellence and in recognition of the creativity that is the hallmark hallmark, mark impressed on silverwork or goldwork to signify official approval of the standard of purity of the metal, also called plate mark. The hallmark was introduced by statute in England in 1300 and enforced by the Goldsmiths' Hall, London.  of our outreach programs.

The MarCom Creative Awards is an international competition and part of The Communicator Awards, one of the largest, oldest and most respected competitions in the communications field. The 13-inch platinum and gold statuettes are designed and cast by artisans at the same company that makes the Oscar, Emmy and MTV MTV

"These are attractive, high-quality, meaningful awards presented to the DAV to honor our excellence, creativity, and hard work," said Patterson. "They symbolize tremendous achievement in the different fields of communications."

Entries are submitted by advertising and public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  agencies, corporate communication departments, educational institutions, government agencies, designers, writers, video production professionals, broadcast and cable operations and other businesses and individuals throughout the world.

Last year, the DAV received a MarCom Creative Platinum award for its 2002 annual report. The "Hire a Hero" TV public service announcement and "The Returning Soldier" poster received Gold Awards.
