Lakes and ponds: Junction City Pond was stocked Thursday with 3,000 surplus winter steelhead weighing an average of a pound apiece. Another 1,500 to 2,000 of the surplus steelhead are scheduled for release there later this week; fishing there should be good for a couple of weeks. October is a great time to fish the Cascade Lakes.
