Outdoor games.

Challenge your friends to see who can cast closest to the bucket.

Mark a line on the ground with a stick. Set a bucket about ten feet away from this line. Attach a weight to the end of the fishing line.

Stand behind the line, and take turns casting the weight into the bucket. The fisherman who comes closest to or hits the bucket is the winner.

Reeling Race

See who can reel in the "big one" the fastest.

Mark a line on the ground twenty-five feet away. Attach a sock to the end of the fishing line. Place the fishing pole on the ground.

At a signal, grab the sock and unwind the line. Run to the line, and set down the sock. Run back to the fishing pole, and reel in the line. Use a stopwatch to record the time. The contestant with the fastest time wins.

Nature Scavenger Hunt

Be the first to find all the items on the list.

Make a list of ten to fifteen items you find outdoors, such as an oak tree, moss, a daisy, a bird's nest, and so on.

Participants must find each item and write down its location on paper The first participant or group to find all the items on the list wins.

Remember: Take nothing from the outdoors; leave nature as you found it.
