WELL done Flynn McElwee-Bartley for taking on Tesco in his call for road safety.

The community-minded eight-year-old's actions now mean the stripeless zebra crossing on Myton Road should hopefully soon be renewed.

Not many of us would be prepared to make a stand and take action to get things done.

Flynn should be very proud of his desire to make a difference. Let's hope this paint job is now done swiftly for everyone's safety.
