). The contract is valued at approximately $25 million, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of fiscal 2004.

The TFFT is a joint development project between Oshkosh and its subsidiary, Pierce Manufacturing. The TFFT combines the extreme off-road mobility and combat-proven performance of the Oshkosh(R) HEMTT HEMTT Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck  M977 with the advanced firefighting capabilities of industry-leading Pierce(R) fire apparatus. The trucks will be deployed worldwide for structural fire protection, wildland and brush firefighting, fuel and ammunition storage protection, aircraft rescue and rescue extrication extrication Emergency medicine The process of removing a person from an entrapment, usually from a motor vehicle, often requiring the use of special tools. The versatility of the multi-purpose TFFT is an important benefit in meeting the military's responsibilities for fire fighting missions in combat situations, as well as for homeland defense.
