Academy Award winners Halle Berry Halle Maria Berry (IPA: /ˈhæliː ˈbɛriː/) (born August 14, 1966[1]) is an American actress.  and Denzel Washington Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. (born December 28, 1954) is a two-time Academy Award and Golden Globe Award-winning American actor and director. He has garnered much critical acclaim for his portrayals of several real-life figures, such as Steve Biko, Malcolm X, Rubin "Hurricane"  are making moves in the publishing world. Berry's production company, Good Shepard Productions, has optioned the rights to Nappily Ever After by Trisha Thomas. Universal is set to distribute the film. Nappily is the story of Venus Johnston, a young woman with a wonderful job, an attractive doctor-boyfriend and an otherwise great life. But after years of spending hours in the salon to maintain her long hair, she decides to cut her hair short, in a natural style. Her life radically changes once she decides to follow her dreams and live her life on her own terms. Berry is set to star in the film. Nappily Ever After is available from Crown Publishing.

 Story (current working title) based on Antwone Quenton Fisher's memoir Finding Fish to be distributed by Fox Searchlight searchlight, device, usually swiveled, using a lens and reflecting surface to direct a powerful beam of light of nearly parallel rays.
