The suspect was identified only as "a former local commander of the guerilla Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA KLA Kosovo Liberation Army

) in the central town of Vucitrn...." The "Kosovo Protection Corps" was created by the UN shortly after the world body took control of the Yugoslav province in 1999. It is composed almost entirely of field commanders and troops from among Osama bin Laden's KLA comrades.
