Orthos' new Jawo Air Slide.A new generation of Jawo sampler sampler, sample piece of needlework or embroidery, of silk, cotton, or worsted, for the preservation of some pattern or as an example of the ability of a child or a beginner. In museums and private collections there are samplers dating from as early as 1643. , for use in air slide conveyors, is now available from Orthos (Engineering) Ltd of Fernie Road, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, tel:0185 846 4246. Air slide samplers hitherto available have shown significant design weaknesses. For example, Sample extraction is carried our at a fixed point in the flow of process material, which means that, if segregation occurs, the sample can be unrepresentative Adj. 1. unrepresentative - not exemplifying a class; "I soon tumbled to the fact that my weekends were atypical"; "behavior quite unrepresentative (or atypical) of the profession" ; The amount of sample extracted in any given cycle is often very large and is, therefore, difficult to deal with and use to produce useful process data; The samplers have frequently suffered from leakage LEAKAGE. The waste which has taken place in liquids, by their escaping out of the casks or vessels in which they were kept. By the act of March 2, 1799, s. 59, 1 Story's L. U. S, 625, it is provided that there be an allowance of two per cent for leakage, on the quantity which shall appear problems, which have affected the quality and reliability of the sample taken. The new sampler consists of a stationary, vertical tube, which extends across the full depth of the air slide conveyor Conveyor A horizontal, inclined, declined, or vertical machine for moving or transporting bulk materials, packages, or objects in a path predetermined by the design of the device and having points of loading and discharge fixed or selective. . This tube presents a longitudinal slot over its complete length to the flow of powder and contains a second close-fitting rotating ro·tate v. ro·tat·ed, ro·tat·ing, ro·tates v.intr. 1. To turn around on an axis or center. 2. tube. This tube is fitted with a spiral slot, which covers 270[degrees] of the tube's circumference and also extends over its full length. A highly wear-resistant fibre liner, fitted between the two tubes, provides an effective and long-lasting seal, so that sample leakage is eliminated. The two slots form a hole at the point where they intersect In a relational database, to match two files and produce a third file with records that are common in both. For example, intersecting an American file and a programmer file would yield American programmers. . This 'hole' moves from the bottom to the top of the slide as the inner tube rotates, and it collects a fully representative sample of the powder being conveyed, as it does so. The sample falls down through the double tube and is collected below the air slide. |
