The Orion kimberlite is located on the Cross Property in the Northwest Territories Northwest Territories, territory (2001 pop. 37,360), 532,643 sq mi (1,379,028 sq km), NW Canada. The Northwest Territories lie W of Nunavut, N of lat. 60°N, and E of Yukon. and is a Joint Venture between Ashton, Pure Gold Resources Inc. and Tenajon Resources Corp. The results presented below include both microdiamond caustic dissolution and minibulk dense media separation analysis. These analyses were conducted in Ashton Mining Limited ("AML AML - A Manufacturing Language ") Australian laboratories, Lakefield Research laboratories and Ashton Mining of Canada, Vancouver facilities. The results indicate that the Orion kimberlite is diamondiferous. However, grade projections suggest that the body is of subeconomic potential. While the above-diamond results indicate a low grade for the Orion kimberlite, Ashton is considering additional exploration on this body to further investigate these initial results. Ashton is encouraged by the discovery of an additional diamondiferous kimberlite on the Cross Property and remains committed to this region of the Slave to host an economic diamond deposit. During the remainder of the year Ashton shall concentrate on further defining outstanding anomalous indicator trends on this property. Elsewhere in the Slave, Ashton will commence drilling on the Roundrock Property with Joint Venture partners Lytton Minerals Ltd. and Pure Gold Resources Corp. on the 15th of June.
