William Toigo will be remembered as a man who stood for something. He has decided to set up an organization to synthesize To create a whole or complete unit from parts or components. See synthesis.  all the information that's out there to better educate end-users on storage technology.

Toigo, a renowned figure in the world of computer storage information, has recently announced the creation of the Data Management Institute. The institute will serve as a representation of professionals who purchase, implement and design data storage architectures for companies.

The institute will act as a sort of haven for professionals to share stories, compare problems and solutions and learn from each others' experiences; a sort of support group for your company's stressed out "computer guy" if you will. It will also provide him with the training and necessary resources needed today to keep up with new emerging technologies.

Toigo will act as the chairman until the organization becomes self-sustaining, at which point it will be funded and run by the users themselves.

, a new IT research and analysis firm, is being launched alongside the institute to form the foundations for a consumer movement in the data storage field," said Toigo.

"Those who labor in storage management and administration and those who design storage infrastructure often feel as though the problems that they confront are unique to their own environments," said Toigo. "However, case study analysis demonstrates that practitioners share many problems in common. DMI (Desktop Management Interface) The first desktop management standard from the DMTF.
