Orezone Intersects Bondi Zone 2 at Depth-Results Include 4.5 g/t over 19.5m and 4.1 g/t over 19.1m.

OTTAWA -- Orezone Resources Inc. (TSX:OZN) (AMEX:OZN) announces that drilling at its 100 per cent owned Bondi project in Burkina Faso, West Africa has intersected Zone 2 at depths to 225m below surface. Hole BDD024 graded 4.1 g/t over 19.1m and Hole BRC230D graded 4.5 g/t over 19.5m and confirm that gold mineralization continues at depth.

Indicated resources within Zone 2 have been estimated at 1,761,822 tonnes grading 2.88 g/t (162,964 contained ounces of gold) and inferred resources amount to an additional 446,378 tonnes grading 2.41 g/t (34,591 contained ounces) using a 0.5 g/t cutoff. While the Zone 2 mineralized structure has been traced for over 2.5 km, much of the reported resource is contained within a 400m strike length to a depth of 150m where the mineralized breccia is up to 40m in width. The NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate was prepared by Met-Chem Canada Inc. and will be filed on SEDAR within 30 days.

Ron Little, President and CEO, stated that "While the initial resource calculation at Bondi is lower than we anticipated, our other projects have exceeded expectations and the Company's potential for resource expansion is much greater than it was a year ago. We remain very encouraged by the results at depth as well as the potential of the entire 100% owned Bondi property. Our 1,400 km2 land package straddles over 75km of one of the largest volcanic belts in Burkina Faso and to date, mineralization has already been identified along 45km of its strike length." He added that, "the Company's objective of building a million ounce resource at Bondi remains intact. Additional resource and scout drilling will start before the end of the year as part of an eight month, US$3.8M exploration program along the belt."

Orezone currently has five drill rigs operating in Burkina Faso and a sixth is expected to start shortly. Four rigs are drilling on the Company's Essakan property and a fifth is at the 100 per cent owned Sega project.
