Oregon wrestlers dish out losses to Central Washington, Boxers.

The University of Oregon The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. The university was founded in 1876, graduating its first class two years later. The University of Oregon is one of 60 members of the Association of American Universities.  wrestling team scored a pair of wins Friday at McArthur Court McArthur Court is a basketball arena located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene. Also known as "The Pit," it is known as one of the toughest arenas in the country for opposing players to play in. The arena is named for Clifton N. , beating Central Washington Central Washington is a region of the United States defined as the western half of Eastern Washington, or those counties lying east of the Cascade Mountains but west of the 119th meridian.  39-9 and topping Pacific 32-15.

The Ducks, who improved to 5-4 overall and are 2-1 in Pac-10 Conference competition, received strong performances throughout their roster. Eugene Harris earned a 37-second pin of Tom Cinquinin at 174 pounds in Oregon's opening match against Pacific (9-9), then beat Central Washington's Ty Roberts by technical fall in the win over the Wildcats (7-7).

At 125 pounds, Oregon's Shaun Williams Shaun LeJon Williams (born October 10, 1976 in Oakland, California) is a former American football safety, most recently for the Carolina Panthers, of the NFL. Williams attended Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, California and played both tailback and safety.  won his first match of the day by major decision, 17-6, then earned a pin of the Wildcats' Jamie Garza in 3:51. Tony Overstake had the Ducks' other pin, a 4:14 victory over Central Washington's Jared Novak at 157 pounds.

Harris, Overstake and Shane Webster each moved up a weight class for Friday's matches, and all three responded with a pair of wins each as Webster won his two matches at 184 by major decision (19-7) and by technical fall (24-8).

 Eric Webb, ranked No. 16 by Intermat, who is recovering from a foot injury. As a result, the Ducks forfeited both heavyweight matches.

Oregon State takes on California and Stanford today in a pair of Pac-10 Conference dual meets, returning to the conference schedule for the first time since mid-December.

The Beavers (7-6 overall, 2-1 Pac-10) take on the Bears (8-6, 3-1) in Davis, Calif., at noon before traveling to Stanford, Calif., to take on the Cardinal (5-5, 1-2) at 7 p.m.

Men's basketball

Northwest Christian beat the visiting Multnomah Ambassadors 73-45 in a game Friday at O'Hara Catholic School. The Lane Community College men's basketball team is at home today for a 4 p.m. divisional game against Chemeketa. The Titans (10-9 overall, 3-2 league) and Chemeketa (14-5, 3-2) are both tied with Linn-Benton for third place in the Southern Division.

Tennis

The Eugene Thunder will attempt to get one step closer to the Northern-Pacific Hockey League title and home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs when they meet Portland (14-19-0) at 4:30 today in Beaverton.

The Thunder (29-5-0, 58 points), winners of 24 of their past 26 games, are three games away from clinching first place with 10 games left in the regular season. Their only competition is Tri-City (44 points), which is in a distant second place.

Eugene is 8-0 against Portland this season.

Snowboarding

The second-place finish was good enough to land him a spot in Salt Lake City.

Klug competed with the condition and made the Nagano Olympics, where he finished sixth. He said in the early days of having the disease, he didn't prepare for the seriousness of the illness.

Brigham Young edged Oregon State 194.400-192.950 in the Beavers' home opener Friday in Corvallis.
