Oregon steel says "DA" to deal.


Evraz Group Evraz Group (Russian: Евраз Груп С. А.) is one of the world's leading vertically integrated steel production and mining businesses, with operations mainly in Russia.  S.A., based in Luxembourg and Russia, has agreed to purchase Oregon Oregon, city, United States

The company, which owns three steel mills in Russia plus one mill in Italy and another in the Czech Republic Czech Republic, Czech Česká Republika (2005 est. pop. 10,241,000), republic, 29,677 sq mi (78,864 sq km), central Europe. It is bordered by Slovakia on the east, Austria on the south, Germany on the west, and Poland on the north. , produced 13.9 million metric tons of crude steel in 2005.

The combined company will produce more than 16.8 million metric tons of crude steel and will have more than 17.4 million metric tons of steel shipments in 2006.
