Oregon hosts softball event.

The University of Oregon's softball team opens its fall season today and Sunday in the Fall Fest at Howe Field.

Admission is free, and play runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday with six 1 1/4 -hour games each day.

Generals' Mills scores twice against Puget Sound

Kyle Mills scored twice and Brian Kneaper added a goal as Eugene beat Puget Sound 3-1 in a Northern Pacific Hockey League game Friday at Lane Events Center-Ice.

Kneaper scored in the first period, and Mills had one goal in the second and one in the third for the Generals, who improved to 5-3 this season.

The Generals host Puget Sound today at 7:35 p.m.

McArthur Court will host some of the nation's top collegiate wrestlers at the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star Classic on Monday, Nov. 19.

Ticket prices are $15 for reserved seats, $10 for adult general admission and $5 for children (ages 2-18) general admission and UO students with valid student ID.

Stanford buries OSU

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford scored three goals in a five-minute stretch in the second half to stretch a 1-0 lead into a 4-0 victory over Oregon State in Pac-10 Conference men's soccer Friday.

Kyle Hency, Alex Kozachenko, Daniel Leon and Bobby Warshaw scored for the Cardinal (4-2-3 overall, 1-0-0 Pac-10). Oregon State dropped to 3-6-0 and 0-1-0.
