Ordnance Chest.

* An important and rewarding shooters' and collectors' service is provided by the Ordnance Chest, P.O. Box 905, Dept. GA, Madison, CT 06443.

Are you missing parts for rare and vintage American arms? Would you like to fire that old military or sporting arm, but don't know enough about it? How about that fascinating old gun gathering dust in the back of your gun safe--what is it? Is it worth anything? Ordnance Chest materials can provide authoritative answers.

In addition to a line of authentic pre-1898 edged weapons, firearms and assorted guns parts--primarily old military surplus--the Ordnance Chest offers reprints of selected rare dealer catalogs, U.S. military arms manuals and specialty publications concerned with the world of firearms. They also carry a line of original uniforms, rare U.S. military belts, cartridge boxes, slings and other leather and web equipment for collectors, researchers, firearms students and others.

Their offerings include rare, original Western titles and other printed Americana, foreign works, U.S. military unit histories, hunting books, important and hard-to-find U.S. Ordnance reports dating back to pre-Civil War days, and a collection of shooting-related titles--19th century as well as relatively recent publications all covering a broad range of topics.

Many of their items have been used in Guns & Ammo photos and research.

Subscriptions are $5 for a newly expanded and illustrated catalog from the Ordnance Chest; they mail it three times a year. Contact B.R. Williams or Neil Gutterman at the above address for more information.
