Orchestral Heads For Timpani.

Evans Drumheads has unveiled a new line of orchestral heads for timpani.

The heads are offered in one style and are available in 28 sizes that fit most popular timpani brands and models from 20" to 35". The company noted that the new heads have already received rave reviews from major players throughout North America.

The heads are the first in a series of timpani heads which will be made available by Evans. Evans has developed a timpani head design that incorporates a great musical sound with industry-leading manufacturing consistency. The heads are constructed of a 7.5 mil polyester film that is durable yet thin enough to provide the sensitivity and resonance required by professionals. A steel insert ring creates pretension, provides rigidity in the hoops, and simulates a "German Tuck." The ring is chrome-plated to prevent oxidation. High-quality, high-impact reinforced shipping cartons guarantee that Evans timpani heads always arrive in perfect shape.

The new timpani heads join Evans Concert and Concert Staccato snare heads as part of the growing Evans Orchestral Drumheads line.
