Orbit International Receives $2.2 Million Contract from NAVICP for Color Plasma Entry Panels; $21 Million Potential for Retrofit Program; Sales Objectives Achieved for the Third Quarter; Guidance Reaffirmed.

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT), a niche military defense electronics supplier, today announced that it had received a firm fixed price contract valued in excess of $2,200,000 from the U.S. Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP), Mechanicsburg, PA. Under the terms of the contract, Orbit has begun to manufacture and deliver a new Color Plasma Entry Panel to support an ongoing upgrade program for U.S. Navy UYQ-21 consoles; deliveries under this initial order are expected to continue through the first quarter of 2006.

It was also reported that shipments that the Company had previously stated could have potentially been shifted from the third quarter to the fourth quarter were, in fact, shipped during the third quarter without any delays. Once again, Management reaffirmed that revenues continue to be in accordance with the Company's previously issued guidance. As reported on August 4, 2005 and reaffirmed on September 15, 2005, Orbit raised its 2005 guidance for EBITDA to between $3,200,000 and $3,500,000. Management also expects that 2005 sales, net income and diluted earnings per share will be close to or slightly in excess of $23.8 million, $2,750,000, and $.67 per diluted share, respectively, which represents the high end of the Company's earlier forecast.

The contract award from NAVICP represents a significant opportunity that provides for the design and development of a Color Plasma Entry Panel to be used as a replacement for the originally designed Orbit Plasma Entry Panel. The new Color Plasma Entry Panel will significantly upgrade the capabilities of the units currently embedded on all UYQ-21 consoles throughout U.S. fleet service. The initial requirement of 265 Color Plasma Entry Panels will be used as replacement units for the originally designed Orbit International Plasma Entry Panels that may require refurbishment or repair.

Dennis Sunshine, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are proud that our Plasma Entry Panels which we have delivered to the U.S. Navy since 1982 are still in fleet service condition and continue to support ongoing UYQ-21 console requirements. Since the initial console design, our Company has shipped in excess of 2500 Plasma Entry Panels to Hughes Aircraft, Raytheon Company, and directly to Naval Procurement Offices for UYQ-21 console programs. These units provide the operator with critical real time data to display tactical Command Information and Control (CIC), as well as Fire Control information for all U.S. Naval Cruiser, Destroyer, and Carrier UYQ-21 console requirements."

Sunshine continued, "Our Company has been working on the opportunity to develop a new state of the art Color Plasma Entry Panel that would enhance operator capabilities, specifically manufactured at a reduced cost to the customer as a "plug-out, plug-in" replacement for our original Plasma Entry Panels that have been in fleet service for many years."

Sunshine also added, "Management believes that once the initial 265 Color Plasma Entry Panels are introduced into fleet service, there could be the potential for a significant quantity of this new Color Plasma Entry Panel that would be used as a direct replacement for the older Plasma configurations. Assuming full replacement of the older Plasma Entry Panels with the new color configuration, of which there can be no assurance, the business potential for this opportunity could amount to $21,000,000."

Sunshine concluded, "On September 15, 2005, we reported that due to the timing of the receipt of certain contracts and delivery schedules, some expected revenues for the third quarter could be pushed back into the fourth quarter. I am pleased to report that contracts were received in a timely manner, and all hardware that was due to ship in the third quarter was shipped. Our original estimates for the third and fourth quarter and year end shipments are on track for the high end of our guidance."
