How interesting that Opus Dei Opus Dei (ō`pəs dā`ē) [Lat.,=work of God], Roman Catholic organization, particularly influential in Spain, officially the Prelature of the Holy Cross and Opus Dei.  does not encourage women to take leadership roles, does task them with cooking and cleaning and runs a women's college that offers degrees in the culinary arts, event planning Event planning is the process of planning a festival, ceremony, competition, party, or convention.

Event planning includes budgeting, establishing date and alternate date (rain date), selecting and reserving the event site, acquiring permits, and coordinating transportation
 and hotel hospitality ("Breaking The Opus Dei Code," May Church & State).
