Optivo Appoints Robert Drescher as President and CEO.

Company's Pricing Solution to Help E-commerce Retailers Maximize Online

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ --

Optivo Corporation, formerly known as Resonant Commerce, today announced that Robert Drescher has joined the company as president and chief executive officer. Optivo, a Silicon Valley start-up founded by Andy Atherton and Vlad Gorelik in January 2000, has developed an e-commerce pricing solution that will help retailers increase the revenues and profitability of their online initiatives.

E-commerce pricing has recently garnered a lot of attention in the press as a result of price testing that was conducted by Amazon.com. Before joining Optivo, Drescher was most recently vice president of marketing for Oblix, a leading developer of e-business infrastructure software that securely connects the right people to the right resources on e-business networks. He was responsible for developing and implementing the venture-funded company's marketing strategy as it grew from its very early stages to over 150 employees. Prior to Oblix, Drescher held positions as vice president of worldwide marketing at Aspect Telecommunications, and director of marketing for VeriFone, Inc. In addition, he has worked in various positions with the ROLM Corporation and as a Management Consultant with McKinsey and Company. Drescher serves on the Board of the YMCA of Santa Clara Valley and served on the Advisory Board for Webline Communications, which has since been acquired by Cisco. Drescher holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Masters degree in business, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
