Candido Perez, Optimum's founder, has vast experience in all facets of the window industry spanning more than four decades.

Long before Optimum was formed in 1985, Mr. Perez established and operated a successful window installation company in New York New York, state, United States

Believing he could develop and bring a high quality fire-rated window to the New York market, Mr. Perez launched Optimum Window Manufacturing Corporation and focused his attention there. Optimum began in the Hunts Point industrial area of the Bronx, in New York City, with 7 employees in a 20,000-[ft.sup.2] factory.

The company continued to grow steadily, adding major markets in the Chicago area and on the West Coast. In the mid-1990's, Optimum relocated its entire manufacturing and corporate operations to a 137,000-[ft.sup.2] facility in Ellenville, NY, in the picturesque picturesque, term used in 18th-century England to refer to a landscape that looked as if it had come out of an academic painting. Optimum is operated by Mr. Perez with the help of several experienced family members and other professionals, including his son, Candido, Jr., or "C.J.," operations and marketing vice president. "I am proud that Optimum has achieved this level of success, and I thank our customers, our employees, and my family for having made this accomplishment possible," said Mr. Perez.

"Our products are known across the country, and my dream of bringing high quality windows and doors to the marketplace is realized every day."

He added that the company plans events in the coming months with customers, business associates and employees to celebrate 20 years of growth and prosperity.
