Optimos awarded National Archives Government Paperwork Elimination Act CRM system development contract.


Optimos has announced a five year, $7.6 million contract award to provide a Government Paperwork Elimination Act The Government Paperwork Elimination Act (GPEA, Pub.L. 105-277) requires that, when practicable, Federal agencies use electronic forms, electronic filing, and electronic signatures to conduct official business with the public by 2003.  (GPEA GPEA Government Paperwork Elimination Act of 1998 ) Compliant Siebel System that will enable Federal agencies to transfer their records electronically to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA Nara (nä`rä), city (1990 pop. 349,349), capital of Nara prefecture, S Honshu, Japan. Optimos initially worked with NARA personnel to develop a GPEA Pilot. The Pilot was used for accessing operating capability for a sub set of NARA's GPEA transactions slated for FY03. With this award, the pilot will be extended into a production CRM (Customer Relationship Management) An integrated information system that is used to plan, schedule and control the presales and postsales activities in an organization.  system that will be the basis for NARA's eGovernment program. ) and provide Federal agencies a method to electronically transfer records to NARA. The solution will also enable NARA to fulfill fixed fee orders for archival data, forms and other merchandise over the Internet.

Optimos is managing the project and is responsible for architecting and developing the entire solution. Optimos also will provide management services to include schedules, configuration management, risk management and cost management.
