Optima introduces packaging machine for dry products

The Optima FT is a high speed packaging machine for filling and vibrating powder and granular products into rigid container (cans, glass, plastic and cardboard). Typical products include ground coffee and coffee beans.

The containers are collated on the conveyor belt and separated by an infeed screw before being guided by an infeed starwheel into the filling turret. The revolving carrier segments lift the containers, together with the fitted sealing elements, to ensure that the product is virtually dust-free.

The Optima FT is equipped with an integrated cup-dosing system. The filling process is carried out by the opening of the shut-off flaps in dosing cylinders. If necessary, the product can also be vibrated. A discharge starwheel guides the filled containers onto the discharge belt.

Specific construction details make the Optima FT one of the most sophisticated machines on the market. In addition to the high output (up to 300 containers per minute), optimal design of the infeed area guarantees careful product handling by eliminating narrow cross sections, and extra, and often unnecessary, pneumatic or mechanical infeed devices.

The Optima also offers short downtimes due to good accessibility, quicker cleaning of all parts exposed to the product and quick format changes that are carried out virtually without tools.

The Optima FT can be equipped with a checkweigher allowing permanent checkweighing that can reject incorrect packages. The calculation of product statistics can be made in accordance to legal requirements.
