Optika strengthens Channel Force with New Business Partners and Additional Strategic Relationships.

Optika Expands Its Distribution Presence in U.S., Canada, Asia and

Latin America With 14 New Resellers, 3 New Strategic Relationships

Optika(R) Imaging Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPTK) today announced three new critical alliances and 14 new Business Solutions Partners to expand its distribution channel both domestically and internationally, allowing Optika to continue to build its presence in targeted markets, including health care, financial services, retail and insurance.

Optika has established strategic relationships with J.D. Edwards and IHS/SoftMed and Lockheed Martin to integrate and co-market Optika's FilePower(R) product suite of imaging, workflow and COLD technology. The teaming agreement signed between Optika and J.D. Edwards will allow Optika to market its technology to J.D. Edwards' OneWorld customers. Optika's alliance with IHS/SoftMed will integrate Optika's high-performance imaging technology with SoftMed's industry leading health information management and workflow solutions, providing hospitals and other health care providers with access to a tightly integrated solution for their processing needs. IHS, the exclusive worldwide distributor of SoftMed, will aggressively market this integrated package to health care medical records departments. Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Technologies (IS&T) and Optika agreed to a business and marketing alliance to provide Optika's FilePower integrated product suite to key vertical markets. This move will enhance Optika's market share in enterprise-wide collaborative computing and information exchange in industries such as insurance, banking, pharmaceutical and telecommunications.

The additional Business Solutions Partners will strengthen what is already the industry's strongest reseller channel. Optika now has more than 250 Business Solutions Partners in 39 countries, delivering integrated imaging, workflow and COLD solutions to major Fortune 500 companies. The new Business Solutions Partners and their target markets include:

Berney Financial Systems, Inc. provides banking solutions in a five state region of the southern United States. Its strong niche focus in banking will be instrumental in increasing Optika's presence in this market.

CADPAC, Inc., a small integrator located in Cincinnati, Ohio, offers single source, turnkey solutions focused on imaging and document management from capture to retrieval. The company primarily focuses on the government, manufacturing and medical markets.

Concerta Consulting, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, focuses on providing high value business information management solutions within the industries of forestry, health care, legal, retail, government and manufacturing.

CSA Automated Pte Ltd., located in Singapore, works in five core business areas, including client/server solutions, networking services, Internet business solutions, imaging and customer support and services. This IT solutions provider covers project study, system design, hardware integration, implementation and after-sales support for imaging systems.

CWE2 Network Systems is a small systems integrator focusing on high-speed networking and telecommunications. Working primarily in metropolitan Chicago, CWE2 is broadening its market approach to include imaging and document management, and focuses on financial services, health care and insurance.

ImageSoft Corporation, located in Hermosa Beach, Calif., is a consulting firm that specializes in document imaging and workflow consulting, concentrating on the credit card/customer service, finance and insurance vertical markets.

LeGroupe BusCom is a VAR/Integrator located in Montreal, Quebec, that offers single source, turnkey solutions focused on imaging and document management primarily to manufacturing organizations.

Linmar Business Solutions, Inc., an integrator concentrating in Georgia and North Carolina, primarily deals in the medical (claims processing/HCFA), financial services, insurance and higher education vertical markets.

MDY Advanced Technologies, Inc. is a systems integrator that combines expertise in software development, integration and network support services, working in the legal, government and health care markets in the northeastern United States.

Microtek Systems, Inc.'s is a systems integrator focusing on the manufacturing, health care and insurance markets, with a primary geographic coverage of the state of Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

MOST Technologies, Inc., located in Columbus, Ohio, focuses on providing solutions within the manufacturing, insurance and government markets in central and southern Ohio.

Peelle Technologies, formerly an end user of Optika, recently created a new business unit to increase its level of services to financial institutions by offering imaging solutions to its clients and prospects.

Politec Informatica is a $33 million Brazilian company dedicated to selling and integrating imaging solutions. Politec Informatica is very strong in government sales and is now expanding into the finance industry, with a major presence in Brasilia and Sao Paulo.

Technetics Corporation, Optika's first Business Solutions Partner in Arkansas, provides solutions for the financial and dental markets, primarily covering the southeastern United States.
