OptiLED Introduces MOA H-7 Modular LED Optical Array; New Submersible, Color-Changing High-Brightness LED Units Debut at Lightfair 2005.

IRVINE, Calif. -- OptiLED, global manufacturer of innovative light emitting diode See LED.  (LED) lighting systems, today unveiled its MOA moa (mō`ə) [Maori], common name for an extinct flightless bird of New Zealand related to the kiwi, the emu, the cassowary, and the ostrich. The various species ranged in size from that of a turkey to the 10-ft (3-m) Dinornis giganteus.  H-7, the latest product in the company's Modular Optical Array (MOA) Series.

Usable indoors, outdoor or even underwater, this powerful, compact, and efficient LED system is comprised of seven individual hexagonal hex·ag·o·nal

RGB was derived from our own perception of color because human eyes are sensitive to red, green and blue (see trichromaticity). ), and interconnects and passes power and data to other units. The MOA H-7 utilizes 21 high-brightness LEDs to create a powerful beam of light that can be shaped to different distributions with any of four optical diffusers.

Its weatherproof and submersible submersible, small, mobile undersea research vessel capable of functioning in the ocean depths. Development of a great variety of submersibles during the later 1950s and 1960s came about as a result of improved technology and in response to a demonstrated need for  housing, a DMX See DMX512. 512 interface and rotation on three axes for precise focusing make the MOA H-7 ideal for designers, specifiers and systems contractors looking to create a range of RGB lighting. A line voltage power supply and power consumption of only 25 watts per system allow the MOA H-7 to provide a low maintenance, low power solution for those applications in challenging locations.

The MOA H-7 is suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor projects, including interior accents, flood lighting, architectural highlights, landscape effects, theatrical and stage productions, and underwater applications like fountains and pools.

"The MOA H-7 builds on our original HIVE module released last year, and its transformative and flexible capabilities allows designers and specifiers to explore a wider variety of lighting options, while benefiting from true RGB LED color selection and brightness," said Bruce Pelton, vice president of OptiLED. "In addition, ease of use and installation, as well as low maintenance costs, make this the ideal LED spotlight for multiple applications."

OptiLED's Modular Optical Array Series was first introduced at the end of 2004 with the HIVE module. The company plans to continue to extend this line of LED products in 2005.
