That is where Operation Smokeout, Jones's debut, falls short. The book's opening sequence is itself unbelievable. Harold Cosby, the President's Chief of Staff, calls Shaffer O'Grady, a former Secret Service agent turned Washington Post reporter, because four CIA CIA: see Central Intelligence Agency.
