Opera and Amino Jointly Announce Extended Partnership in the IPTV Market.


OSLO, Norway -- Opera Software, a global leader in Web browser technologies, today announced its extended partnership with Amino, leading IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) Also called "TV over IP," IPTV delivers scheduled TV programs and video-on-demand (VOD) via the IP protocol and digital streaming techniques used to watch video on the Internet.  software and customer premises equipment See CPE.  provider. As a result, Amino delivers a platform to support full Internet browsing, advanced Web-based user interfaces, and applications combining video and graphics.

Amino's AmiNET110 set-top boxes with Opera browser are currently available. Middleware vendors including Dreampark, Orca, Industria, Tandberg and Alcatel have solutions available for Amino set-top boxes running Opera.
