OpenConnect Systems, Inc., the pioneer of secure Mainframe-to-Web solutions, today announced the availability of WebConnect 6.3 and WebConnect SSO 6.3. These new releases add even greater usability, administration and security capabilities to the premier client-server based Mainframe-to-Web access and single sign-on An identification system that lets users log into multiple Web sites on the Internet with one username and password. Single sign-on systems are also used within an enterprise, enabling users to access all authorized resources in the local network using the same username and password.  (SSO) solutions. OpenConnect is showcasing these products in booth #719 at the RSA Conference 2004, February 23-27, 2004 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif.

"These upgrades include a number of customer-driven enhancements that increase WebConnect and WebConnect SSO's usability and security," said Stuart Burris, president and CTO (Chief Technical Officer) The executive responsible for the technical direction of an organization. See CIO and salary survey.  at OpenConnect Systems. "With these new releases and our enhanced interoperability with software from companies like RSA Security, OpenConnect continues to provide enterprises with the solutions they need to make the most of their legacy investments."

WebConnect is client-server based software that provides secure browser-based emulation to mainframe, midrange and UNIX systems. WebConnect SSO extends the powerful features of WebConnect and facilitates the automation of secure sign-on to multiple host applications with a single mouse click. Host user ids and passwords are stored in the glass house, eliminating security issues arising from desktop stored login information. With the interoperability between WebConnect SSO and identity management software, the mainframe becomes a protected resource under those solutions. Both WebConnect and WebConnect SSO enable enterprise organizations to provide suppliers, partners and employees with secure access to vital applications and information.
