Gwen Latimer said: "When our signage first went up people were naturally curious as to what was happening here at Axwell, with the estate and Mansion House having lain neglected for many years.

"Some people were out for a Sunday afternoon walk and couldn't resist coming in to take a look when our first showhome opened. We found that people were amazed at what was going on here, at the quality of the properties being built, the gorgeous views across the Derwent Valley and the fact that although in this peace and quiet, they were only a mile from the MetroCentre." Gwen added: "We seemed to hit the right note with couples who wanted some outside space as well as a good flexible layout inside."

The Gardens offer buyers a contemporary, easy-to-maintain home with good outside and inside space.
