TORONTO -- The government of Ontario The Government of Ontario refers to the provincial government of the province of Ontario. Its powers and structure are set out in the Constitution Act, 1867.

Households receiving assistance are selected through existing social housing waiting lists, referrals from organizations dealing with the homeless, and/or families identified through Ontario Works as nearing financial independence, but at risk because of housing affordability issues.

Under the pilot program, funding will be provided to municipal service managers in designated cities, upper-tier municipalities and district social services social services
