The CS42518 and CS42528 support sample rates up to 192 kHz and provide the highest dynamic range -- 110 dB and 114 dB, respectively -- in a fully integrated solution. Onkyo has selected the Cirrus(R) CS42518 for its new TX-SR601 and Cirrus' CS42528 for its TX-SR701 model.

The TX-SR601 and TX-SR701 feature six channels of amplification to take full advantage of Dolby(R) Digital EX and DTS (1) (Digital Theatre Sound) A digital audio encoding system used in movie and home theaters. The TX-SR601 and TX-SR701 are both available now and carry suggested retail prices of $500 and $800, respectively.

In addition to the CS42518, the Onkyo TX-SR701 also features two of Cirrus' CS5333 two-channel 24-bit, 96 kHz audio analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). Available in a low-profile 16-pin TSSOP TSSOP Thin Shrink Small Outline Package
