Intelligent Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier Combines Wide Gain Range

and Fast Transient Control in a Compact Package

 11330C and 11340C Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFAs). These intelligent EDFAs feature wide gain ranges and fast transient control as well as automatic gain tilt control in a highly compact package. The slim, 15 mm package allows for dense card spacing, and it includes an extensive feature set that reduces the total systems cost for network equipment manufacturers.

With gain values variable over more than 15 dB, these EDFAs are well suited to Metro/Regional Networks with a wide range of span losses. The IOE 11340C includes mid-stage access for dispersion dispersion, in chemistry
