A single vibrating table takes pellets from an underwater pelletizer and dewaters, dries, cools, and classifies them all on one level, whereas separate units would require a level drop at each transition. The new low-profile combo unit is the 400 Series from the Witte Co., Washington, N.J. The dewatering section is 5 ft long and uses a vibrating mesh screen. The drying section is 3 ft long with hot air blowing up through a slotted deck. The 2-ft cooling section blows ambient air up through a slotted deck.
